The APC Progressive Support Group (APSG), and the Confident Women Development Initiative (CWDI), hosted an elegant and memorable evening of celebration, honour, and unity at IBIS Hotel, Providence Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The event combined a Congratulatory Dinner in honour of the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Princess Damilola Sonayon-James (popularly known as Sisi Eko), with the birthday celebration of the Director General and Convener of APSG & (CWDI) Iya'afin Oluwafunmilayo Adejoke Ogunba-Koleowo
The colourful gathering brought together political leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, women leaders, youth representatives, members of APSG and CWDI, friends, family, and supporters globally from ac Lagos State,Osun state, Ekiti state, Ogun State,Ondo state,Oyo State and people in diaspora in celebration of progressive leadership and service.

Arrival of Guests
The evening commenced with the arrival and registration of guests, followed by a red carpet reception and networking session accompanied by live background music. Guests used the opportunity to interact, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships before the formal proceedings
The programme opened with an opening prayer led by Hon. Bankole, followed by the singing of the first stanza of the National Anthem and the APSG slogan, setting the tone for a patriotic and inspiring evening.
Welcome Address
The National General Secretary welcomed guests and expressed appreciation for their support and commitment to the vision of the APC Progressive Support Group. The address emphasized unity, grassroots mobilisation, and continued support for progressive governance in Lagos State.
Recognition of Dignitaries
One of the highlights of the evening was the introduction and recognition of distinguished personalities in attendance.

Celebration of the Director General

Guests paid glowing tributes to Iya'afin Oluwafunmilayo Adejoke Ogunba-Koleowo, describing her as a visionary leader, grassroots mobiliser, philanthropist, and advocate for women and youth empowerment.
The birthday celebration featured a symbolic toast, cake-cutting ceremony, presentation of gifts, goodwill messages, and heartfelt prayers for long life, divine protection, and continued success in her service to humanity.

Although Princess Damilola Sonayon-James, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate and Incoming Deputy Governor of Lagos State, was unavoidably absent, she was ably represented by Honourable Azeezat Damilola Owonla Odubajo and Director of Finance, City Boy Movement, Lagos State Chapter.
Representing both Princess Damilola Sonayon-James and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Honourable Azeezat Damilola Owonla Odubajo conveyed goodwill messages and appreciation to the organisers and guests. She commended the leadership of the APC Progressive Support Group (APSG) under the Director General, Iya'afin Oluwafunmilayo Adejoke Ogunba-Koleowo, for organising a remarkable event that celebrated excellence, unity, and progressive leadership.
A citation prepared in honour of Princess Damilola Sonayon-James was presented by Prof. Falilat Adenuga, highlighting her distinguished career, commitment to public service, and the confidence reposed in her as the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate for Lagos State.
Following the citation, Otunba Yeye Modupe Okenla, the Global Grand Matron (GGM) of the APC Progressive Support Group (APSG) and Confident Women Development Initiative (CWDI), delivered a heartfelt congratulatory message. She congratulated Princess Damilola Sonayon-James on her emergence as the party's Deputy Governorship Candidate and encouraged members of APSG and supporters of the party to remain united and committed to the success of the APC in Lagos State.
The presentation was warmly received by guests, who applauded the message of unity, inclusiveness, and dedication to the continued progress of Lagos State.

DINNER AND ENTERTAINMENT
Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner while enjoying live musical performances and entertainment. The atmosphere was lively as dignitaries interacted freely, took photographs, and celebrated the achievements of both the celebrant and the Deputy Governorship Candidate.
The evening further strengthened friendships, political relationships, and collaboration among party faithful and supporters.
Vote of Thanks
The Director General, Iya'afin Oluwafunmilayo Adejoke Ogunba-Koleowo, thanked every guest, sponsor, supporter, organising committee member, and volunteer for contributing to the success of the event.
A final vote of thanks was also delivered by Comrade Chief Mrs. Agnes Funmillayo Sessi NLC Chairperson Lagos State, APC Lagos State women leader, who appreciated everyone for honouring the invitation and prayed for God's blessings upon all attendees.
The programme concluded with a closing prayer, after which guests continued networking before departing.
