APC PROGRESSIVE SUPPORT GROUP (APSG) & CONFIDENT WOMEN DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (CWDI) Celebrates Incoming Lagos Deputy Governor, Mrs. Damilola Sonayon James, on Her Birthday

The APC Progressive Support Group (APSG) and Confident Women Development Initiative (CWDI) has extended warm birthday felicitations to the Incoming Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Damilola Sonayon James, describing her as a distinguished leader whose remarkable achievements, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public service continue to inspire many across Lagos State and beyond.

In a congratulatory message jointly issued by the Director General of APC Progressive Support Group (APSG), Iya'afin Oluwafunmilayo Adejoke Ogunba-Koleowo, and the Global Matron, Otunba Yeye Modupe Okenla, on behalf of all APSG members and supporters within Nigeria and the diaspora, the group celebrated Mrs. James for her exceptional leadership qualities and her emergence as the Incoming Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

According to the statement, Mrs. Damilola Sonayon James represents a new generation of visionary leaders committed to sustainable development, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies.

A proud daughter of Kweme Kingdom in Badagry West LCDA, Mrs. James possesses an outstanding academic background. She attended the Administrative Staff College, Badagry, Lagos State Model College, Kankon, and City and Islington College in the United Kingdom. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Human Resources Management from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, and later obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work (Community Development) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

Beyond her academic accomplishments, Mrs. James has built an impressive professional career as a Sustainability, Risk and Strategy Expert, with extensive experience in Human Resources Management, Transport and Logistics, Project Management Consultancy, Capacity Building, Youth Development, Women Empowerment, Community Development, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy.

Her professional portfolio includes serving as Head of Sustainability, Risk and Strategy at CCN Limited, Lead Project Consultant at Bolt Nigeria, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of DGS Chauffeurs & Logistics Nigeria Limited, and consultant on numerous training, capacity-building, youth, and women empowerment programmes in collaboration with government agencies, private organizations, and development partners.

The leadership of APSG noted that her commitment to technical governance, humanitarian service, and socio-economic development has positioned her as an outstanding public servant whose wealth of experience will contribute significantly to the continued progress of Lagos State.
