LASG Releases Traffic Advisory for Lagos Gran Fondo “EKO 170” Cycling Race

 


‎The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Lagos Gran Fondo “EKO 170” Cycling Race scheduled to take place on Sunday, 11th January 2026, between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
‎The prestigious 170-kilometre cycling race, organised by Dynastar Sport and Education Foundation, will feature two major routes across parts of Lagos.
‎Race Routes
‎🔹 70km Route
‎The race will start from Eko Atlantic and proceed through Ahmadu Bello Way, Coastal Road, Okun-Ajah Community Road, Ogombo Road, Abraham Adesanya Junction, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Sangotedo, before returning to Eko Atlantic as the finishing point.
‎🔹 170km Route
‎The longer route will also start from Eko Atlantic, passing through Ahmadu Bello Way, Coastal Road, Okun-Ajah Community Road, Ogombo Road, Abraham Adesanya Junction, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Sangotedo, Epe T-Junction, Ita Marun Junction, Poka-Araga Road, Oke Osho Junction, Temu Road, and back to Eko Atlantic.
‎Traffic Management
‎The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), alongside other security agencies, will regulate all adjoining roads, junctions, and intersections along the race routes to prevent unauthorised access and ensure smooth traffic flow.
‎Motorists Advised
‎Although the roads will remain partially open, motorists are urged to exercise patience, cooperate with traffic officials, and obey all traffic instructions. These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of both cyclists and road users throughout the event.
