A Celebration of Legacy and Service: “WHEN GOD FAVOURS” Unveiled in Abeokuta

 

It was a moment of reflection, honour, and celebration as distinguished public servant and outgoing Ogun State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, unveiled his autobiography titled “WHEN GOD FAVOURS.” The event took place on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026, at the prestigious June 12 Cultural Centre.

The book launch attracted dignitaries, colleagues, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate a career defined by discipline, commitment, and impactful public service. The autobiography captures Mr. Onasanya’s journey through years of dedication in governance, highlighting key moments, challenges, and milestones that shaped his distinguished career.

A major highlight of the event was the strong presence of the Ijebu-Ode Grammar School Old Students’ Association (JOGSOBA), whose members attended in solidarity with one of their most accomplished alumni. The association was ably represented by its National Executive Council, led by the National President, Ayokunle Bolujoko. Their presence reflected the strong bond of unity, pride, and shared legacy among old students of the historic Ijebu-Ode Grammar School.

Speaking through various tributes and goodwill messages, attendees described the author as a symbol of integrity and excellence whose journey in public service continues to inspire younger generations. The book “WHEN GOD FAVOURS” is not only a personal memoir but also a testament to the values of perseverance, faith, and leadership.
